I Remember Georgia by Sally Law

I remember Georgia, my own--
the tall majestic pines,
the sloping hills, and red-brick mill,
a setting so sublime.

I remember my dearest friends,
memories deep within;
October days of golden haze
as autumn turned again.

I remember the stinging tears
the day I saw you last--
your crying fields, deep hurts revealed,
a time so dear long past.

I remember Georgia--old friend,
velvet nights, cool and still.
My soul still loves the sweet song of
childhood amongst the hills.

A Duotrain is a four stanza poem and has no metric requirement. Each of the four stanzas alternates between eight and six syllable lines. Lines two and four must rhyme. Also, each Stanza is required to begin with the same character of the alphabet. I chose the letter I for this particular poem.
