She sees it in his eyes but turns away
The lust he shows on any given day.
To please him, tries but love he does not give
She questions now! Is this how I must live?
She knows her beauty does excite this man
At first excitement for him was her plan.
But when he takes her, leaves her cold as stone
No loving warmth from him he’s ever shown
The colours of her life it must be said
Are bleak and blue while she charades in red.
Existence is a falsehood in its bind
Escape she will, for true love she must find.
