A. King-Fleenor. I was eating a nectarine when my daughter sent me the photograph she had taken. I, as several readers, thought a nectarine was a smooth skin peach. A chain grocer, Sprouts, offers white and yellow flesh peaches and nectarines along with smooth skin peaches. The smooth skin peach has a matte velvety looking skin.
