You were more than just a dog;
Faithful, Steadfast and True;
A Loyal Companion who helped me muddle through that I could tell my troubles to;
Whenever I felt lonely or sad embattled by the fray;
Your Loving, Playful Spirit would bring Sunshine to my day!
I had to put you down and pack all your things away;
They were just too much of a reminder; I couldn't bear to look at them every day!
But each time that I think of you I find strength in GOD to smile through my tears.
Because I can gently trace the paw prints you left in my heart over the years.
They say they'll give me an urn that they'll place your ashes into;
And I'll place near it a photo; one that I Love Best of You!
But Dearest Brody I know we'll never really be apart;
Because the Image of You and the Love we shared are etched
Forever in My Heart!
