Train trips made me happy
As we packed to go to the sea.
Cases with clothes for ten days
We left home in dawn's early haze
We saw cows in the fields graze
The steam train puffed its way
Past urban sprawl early that day
On and on the train still went
Blew its whistle, a frequent event
We ate food mum brought along
Subtle aromas never too strong
I fell asleep, four hours was long
The steam train puffed its way
Past urban sprawl early that day
Once in the hotel dad had booked
Ate good meals all home cooked
For nine days I played in the sand
I built sand castles, oh so grand!
Shops and the zoo were planned
The steam train puffed its way
Past urban sprawl early that day
