Walk gently through this tender garden
sown with growing seeds.
Give comfort to the rose that speaks
of water, air and sunlight needs.
The water needs to flow freely
to cleanse and nourish life.
The air and sun – now it’s complete-
discourages the strife.
Be kind to each and every leaf,
their velvet touch protect
So from this garden you may reap
the beauty of respect.

This poem is about treating others with kindness and by doing that, respect will grow. The garden is the heart, the water represents the tears that sometimes need to be shed without judgement, the air is room to breath, and the sun is the joy respect brings.
