Last day in June
arrives with soft flourish,
knowing laughter, and gentle ease.
For it was then, forty years ago, that
we two vowed to brave life together.
No regrets. No looking back.
Hearts still full, feeling

What does the month of June mean to you? There are a number of very important dates within this month...and it's the first month of summer vacation...and it's halfway through the calendar year...anything! :) Just come up with something 'June' that you can write about in your June 'Even-the-Odds' Poem!
As a reminder, the 'Even-the-Odds' poetry format has a syllable count of 2-4-6-8-10-9-7-5-3-1 [starts out with evens and finishes with odds]
The first line (two syllables) and the last line (one syllable) are essentially synonyms
There is no rhyme requirement, although it isn't discouraged.
An example is included at the end of this announcement although REMEMBER TO CENTER your text [very loosely resembling a diamond-shape]

June 30, 1979, seems like yesterday. My husband was once asked if he'd do "it" all over again. His response? "In a heartbeat."
As for me? I resoundingly echo that heartbeat...
