Dear old Dad made me glad
Memories were made by him
Taught me laughter and sad
I miss him still, he was thin
Popped off to heavens' site
He was cranky by then
Had lost his health - fight
We argued a lot, him in his den
My best mate taught me to write
Taught me about books he read
Never forget his cancer blight
He didn't complain, nothing he said
Give up those coughing nails
He never could do that
Got him like snails
Ate all his lungs where he sat
Make the most of your dear old dad
Only once will he be there
Learn every day of him, you'll be glad
Learn of his love, learn to be aware

Author Notes
Dad passed away from smoking ( a habit he picked up in the War days.) I miss him still.
Hope God appreciates Dad - for he was a gem.
