Bill talks to his grandmother about life. She tells him that life sometimes has a funny bone. He believes her; what she is saying is to have a sense of humor. Bill starts to ask her if life is fair to all of us. She says sometimes it is and sometimes not at all. He asks for her permission to tell him about her life back when she was young.
