Easter, time of sadness and sin
Around the World we think of Him
Silent prayers tell of His love
Time to die for men; forever stain
Eventide spirit left for Father above
Resurrection Sunday; He gentle rain
Sacrifice he gave for all men's sin
Alone on the Cross he died for kin
Christ the Redeemer gave his life
Redeemed the World from sin's strife
In the time it took to die
Fellow man, women, keening their cry
In the tortured body, blink of an eye
Christ, sacrificial lamb gave sigh
Everlasting life, Jesus gave you and I
