I took a sip of whiskey,
It was kind of risky.
I asked for a whiskey sour
And I felt a sense of power.
The drink was fizzy,
It made me feel dizzy.
The lemon tasted bitter
My eyes were a'glitter
I felt a glow
I wanted to get up and dance the show
I loved this whiskey sour
It was the finest time of the midnight hour
I must have gotten the notion
That it was like a love potion
It gave me a flutter of emotion
It felt like love's devotion
