Human beings fight way too much
Weapons become our strongest crutch
Our healed hurts become open sores
And welcoming homes close their doors
Learned is unlearned
History's tossed
Tide is turned
Time restraints crossed
Many lives are needlessly lost
New borders drawn, new hatreds churned
Brave men to patriotism clutch
Strong women come battle with such
Fierceness and morals at their cores
They fight with their many stores
Of ammo burned
At the high cost
Of minds returned
To permafrost
From their torture which now's embossed
nightmares on them. They wish they'd spurned
All thoughts of guns
Now dream war's done
