Florence should have been a pretty frog. Her father broke hearts wherever he went, and her mother had won the Miss Pond title three years in a row. She should have been, but she wasn't. Her skin was smooth, her eyes were black as ebony and her mouth pouted prettily when she was angry. But, unfortunately, her little legs were covered in warts. She had been bullied at school for as long as she could remember. And then one day she couldn't take it anymore. She decided to go and live with the toads. They'd definitely think she was cute. Recognized Author Notes A group of frogs is called an army, a group of toads is called a knot. Weird... but not as weird as a parliament of owls or a murder of crows.
