Like hell’s hot breath, Sol’s summer heat just grew
and left my body drenched from head to toe.
I swelter in the night and reach for you
to carry me to where cool breezes blow.
In dreamlike waves my heart begins to beat
in cadence with the passion in your eyes.
I hold you close and savor touches sweet,
surrendering to all -- I fantasize.
But then, a bolt of lightning streaks the sky
as thunder rolls throughout the distant hills.
A whirlwind of emotion takes me high
as pleasures of the moment bring new thrills.
Our hearts resound forever as if one.
You are my night – you are my morning sun.
