causing ripples deep and far reaching
No barrier could stop your breaching
and capturing my heart in the fray
Harboring hopes you would stay
I ignored friends' warning and preaching

Without anchor a love will stray
Heart turned to stone from leaching
Tears dried up from beseeching
I watch as flotsam floats away

A French form consisting of 13 lines: two quatrains and a quintet, rhyming as follows: ABba abAB abbaA. The capital letters are the refrains, or repeats.
