A sentimental sentiment
is part of my prevailing mood;
a consequential condiment
to my exquisite interlude.
With perfect penetration made
within existence so sublime
that I have cut away the shade
to mark the tragedy of time.
I stand alone in private thought
(euphoric on this earthen day)
receiving all that I have sought
as proud production comes my way.
To find serene serenity
inside this simple mind of mine
brings forth a pure tranquility
that made so fine my light to shine.
Achieved with solitary ease -
a state of bliss that I have found,
a state refined, consigned to please,
a soul transcendent and profound.
I thank the teaching of the muse
who then, in gentle quietude,
committed to me rules to use
applied and tried in solitude.
I am now free of pain and strife
about to change my downward flight.
Released to love's sweet peace in life,
I'm guided now by perfect sight.
