Of stormy seas I’m not afraid,
for on dry land I could have stayed
I sail to find my fair mermaid -
A course to Atlantis I’ve laid…
We met when she, but a bridesmaid,
‘midst the foam and dolphins had played.
We dined on fish and marmalade,
and cuddled ‘neath palm trees for shade…
The groom? I'd been a renegade,
who’d acquired my bride in trade,
But one look at my fair mermaid,
ended that whole marriage charade…
She stole my heart and stilled my blade;
my pirating life she unmade
We’ll wed in Neptune’s palisade -
honeymoon near Poseidon’s glade…
No, lightning won’t leave me dismayed,
nor will typhoons make my hopes fade.
For naught will hinder my crusade -
A course to Atlantis I’ve laid!
