100 words on Smuckatelly

Weapons accountability is a big thing in basic training. Leaving your weapon unattended is a Bozo no-no. If a drill sergeant found one, the trainee was going to push Georgia away.

My buddy Smuckatelly thought it was funny to grab unattended weapons like he was a junior drill. One day it rained, we were under a pavilion and had stacked arms. When I went to get my weapon, it was gone.

I had Smuckatelly pinned to a tree by his throat when somebody yelled.
"I took yours by mistake."

Smuckatelly never stole another weapon.
