The White Pigeon
by mermaids

among the lights of
a city in celebration
she flies down from
heaven
Christmas eve is her
destination
she is a pigeon
of white
a spiritual being
on this Holy night
silver, gold
blue, red, green
her angelic form
from afar is seen
light of His creativeness
to earth she brings
peaceful rest
|
Author Notes
I recently was in New York City for a day trip and saw a white pigeon. I was a little grumpy that day and seeing this beautiful bird made me feel better.
