Crossroad

winding roads
follow a dead end
within another
long road
from here
to there,
from there
to nowhere,
where I sit
alone
where chilled air
sends sharp shivers
as days after days
glide north
to south
no, not a hand
not one in a day
will hope to find
this heart
a home.
