A sad ending for a good man
At Death We Part by prettybluebirds

As the days and weeks go by I watch him fade away. He's a mere shadow of the man he was, a walking skeleton.

What I would give to bring him back, this man I've loved for thirty years, but cancer cares not if it's someone we love.

It kills

Author Notes
My husband was diagnosed with colon cancer two years ago. He has refused surgery or treatment. He is in no pain, just slowly wasting away. I have observed others who went through chemo and find I can't fault my husband for his decision. I only wish it didn't have to be. The picture is of my husband when he owned his own packing company.
