& so we sing a mournful song of doom
when leaving this world of sin & woe
while knowing it will be the end to sin
& yet we may scream & shout hurting
more by being plucked in our extrication
to freedom as we balk & realize the time
is so desperately near that we fear our
strength of faith will not carry us through
giving us the right it seems to repeat our
dear Savior's words upon the cross "my God
why has Thou forsaken me" until we come in
remembrance that the flesh availeth nothing
Jesus give us your body your blood your soul
& divinity fashion an incorruptible spiritual body
for us to dwell in eternity in the Father's presence
that wondrous right place of inaccessible light

Author Notes
When our time of death draws near, to our letting go completely, we may tend to rethink our situation as the mind appears to overrule our stored up wisdom in faith, for we would seek to return to our beginnings, which is an impossibility; therefore, we are given a help in repeating our Lord's very own words which bring us comfort in knowing that He unconditionally loves & awaits us having prepared for our coming to Him.
