A land of many colours
Australia in drought by Aussie
Acrostic Poetry Contest contest entry

Mother Nature cruel yet kind
Outside all given time
Thunderheads form hope
Heartache, empty skies elope
Earth swelters under blue skies
Rain moves away no replies

Nary a drop to feed the land
All is dying, turning to sand
Terror fills the hearts of man
Under azure skies we band
Raise your voices to the Lord
Echo loudly for flooding fiord

Author Notes
Acrostic contest entry. Rhyming poetry about our worst drought in living memory. Thanks to Bing for the great photo. The dolphin swims in our waters but we can't drink saltwater!
