A Minute Poem
September Love by June Sargent

The warmth of summer faded fast,
as winds blew past
leaves drifted down
without a sound

Though sun no longer shines as bright,
in filtered light
one bloom stands out
without a doubt

Enduring like the marigold,
our love stayed bold -
through time and test
our life was blessed
