Deep in the night their horses kept
charging forward into the storm.
The thunder rolled and hail stones swept;
strong throes of a republic born.
Courageous hearts and firm resolve,
a cadre of men strong and true.
Demanded the right to dissolve
tyrannical rule of the few.
Freedom rode on mid Tempest's rage,
bearing tidings, sounding the call.
Let it be known in annal's page,
our Patriots sacrificed all.
