All gardens need some TLC.
Sprinkling the Garden

Come, child, the garden calls and needs our care
As rain is sparse this summer in these parts.
Each plant depends on us to keep it fair.
We'll use well water if the old pump starts.
Why don't you grab that little sprinkling can
And I shall lead and show you what to do.
Perhaps the drooping sunflowers more than
the rest would welcome aid from me and you.
Now watch me scratch the soil around these beauts
With either sharp-edged hoe or three-pronged rake
To ease the water's journey to the roots.
Then sprinkle till you've made a tiny lake.
Ma Nature often seeks a helping hand
To tend her gardens, keep them looking grand.
