A Kyrielle
The Secret of the Rose by tfawcus
Write a Kyrielle writing prompt entry

In summer sun the buds unfurl.
As her pubescent beauty grows,
I pluck such buds to tempt my girl;
I know the secret of the rose.

I woo her with its heady scent;
It brings more joy than you'd suppose.
This pheromone's on pleasure bent;
I know the secret of the rose.

As lips unite, our love to seal,
Her petals fall, her heart's exposed,
And, as her swelling hips reveal,
I know the secret of the rose.

Our passion's child will soon be born,
And with kid gloves I will enclose
The hidden dangers of the thorn;
I know the secret of the rose.

That line is usually the last line in the stanza, but it does not have to be. Each line is made up of eight syllables. There is no limit to the number of stanzas. A Kyrielle is usually made up of three or more stanzas. For this prompt, a minimum of three stanzas is required.
