How could we be more perfect?
We often self-proclaim.
While others' flaws are obvious
There's none that we can claim.
How did we get to be so grand,
So perfect in each way...
The hair, the clothes, those eyes, that nose
What style, such gait, that sway!
We tout our every moment
In flaunt of each our moves
There's all that's right in what we speak
Our goals, our plans, our views...
We can't explain the thrill it brings
When loud, we 'laud in cheer
And chant that we're the greatest thing
Since cheese, sliced bread or beer!
In looking past the mirror's gaze
We smile in pleasing fuss,
And can't imagine t'would be like
To never NOT be us!
Ah, beauteous reflection
See thee, thru echo's touch
The only flaw that we might have...
We love ourselves too much!
