Jane, my best friend what's this all about?
It's way too soon for you to check out.
We've been friends for fifty years and always kept in touch.
To think I've lost my best mate hurts me so much.
Although we've lived in different towns, different countries as well,
I knew that if I was feeling down I could always give you a bell
and we'd be laughing in no time at all, chatting away about sod-all.
Well here we are to say goodbye as you go to the big charity shop in the sky.
You can hunt for bargains round the clock and be first in line when they get new stock.
I will think of you always and try not to be sad, just remember all the great times we had.
You lived life to the full, travelled everywhere
and Hey,
Wherever you are, save a place for me there.
