When a friend takes a path
about which you don't know,
your heart fills with sadness;
your eyes miss her glow.
But always remember
the one that we miss
has greeted The Father
and wears His sweet kiss.

I miss my friend. It was a shock...and we had no time to prepare. When my husband died of pancreatic cancer, he lived the same amount of days after diagnosis. In both cases, I saw them pass.
