Oh, what a sacred conferment it must have been
to become an angel bestowed with halo and wings.
With God, a partner, to repose by your side, sharing
your angelic face and Athena-like smile, only with him.
The lurking guiding light from you to beam my way up,
I see it and shall follow, beckoned by his sacred call.
Sharing only with him, The Almighty, ruler of all.
With droplets streaming I loudly proclaim,
"Our Father and my mother, who art in Heaven..."
Lonely is an inadequate word for this harrowing pain.
I ceaselessly cry out in vain, a grievous soul who
Can't bear to part with all that is left of my lonely heart.

Author Notes
Mom's wish, not mine, was that she be cremated. I honored her request. I found her passed away, a vision that will haunt me forever. This very urn is in a special place surrounded always by flowers. Every day, I speak to mom when I pass by it and unconsciously await a reply. You only have one mom and a hole is left that can not be filled when she is gone and only memories remain. Rest in peace, Mom, I love you and will see you again...
