Nightlong, night song, nigh sings the nightingale,
In mine ear he sings a rainbow, that I've seen in a fairy tale.
Soft and low, chirp-chirp, tweet-tweet,
Like candy land, his song is sweet,
I close mine eyes to go to sleep,
Chirp-chirp, tweet-tweet, chirp-tweet, peep-peep.
Nightlong, night song, nigh sings the nightingale,
He sings for me a melody, that tells a dreamy tale.
Chirp-chirp, tweet-tweet, chirp-tweet, peep,peep,
I close mine eyes, I'm fast asleep.
Nightlong, night song, nigh sings the nightingale,
Like cozy dreams, so warm this seems,
Throughout the night, "Til morning light.
