A hiccup seems a funny thing
To those who listen to it,
But if you hiccup for too long
There is a chance you’ll rue it.
For… hiccup… pardon, as you know
Prolonged hiccupping might
Hiccup… oh, dear, forgive me,
Be a sign of some dire plight, right?
A hiccup marathon, I hear,
Could leave you short of breath
And has been known to… hiccup…
Sorry - be the cause of death.
So, do be careful… hiccup… that
You don’t get caught up in it,
For if you …hiccup… are, why you
Could be dead in a minute!
It looks like… hiccup…I should start
To concentrate on mine,
But prob’ly my… hiccup… ing comes
From drinking too much wine.
