The moon dances in the evening skies Tender feelings of the heart arise In the hushed sounds of the night Your silken whispers in the dark Wrapping yourself around my heart Playing a song of love in my mind I listen to the echoes of our song playing out in the moonlit sky The sands of time lay still time and space remain in place In my mind I see your face from some forgotten dream Like a picture on a canvas Shaping images in my mind The years have fled and passed ahead So many words I should have said I remember rainbows in your eyes promising never to say goodbye Now dawn lights up the sky One last kiss before goodbye Remaining forever lost in time When I held your hand in mine Recognized
