Abominable Snowman

snow capped mountains
are my home
hairless apes
wander about
in my domain
What do they seek?
my mate and children
are my concern,
not wayward beings
lost in my world
I growl and run away,
my friend the snow
leopard laughs,
she enjoys the show
the ice and cold are
a pleasure to my senses
these strange creatures
shiver in the cold air
I wait for their presence
each year as the winter
embraces my home
unreal oddities
