I went to the artist's studio one day
he was using a different technique
the items he used from a special tray
to create some form, quite unique
His room was next to a high-pitch whine
but still he created with his usual poise
his artistry and focus were just fine
concentration still held with all the noise
He made his artwork, meant to be seen
people who saw his carved works of art
craved a chance for their smiles to gleam
to wear his work, two halves hinged apart
I was open-mouthed, his creation done
as I looked into the mirror I cried in awe
my toothless mouth, puckered, no fun
now had a set of dentures in my jaw!
