Sometimes, the substance of a piece of writing is much more important than making sure all the "t's" are crossed and the "i's" dotted in some structurally limited format.)

Do I Thank My Readers Enough
I was sitting in my office the other day and this thought came to me:
do I thank my readers enough?
I mean, if I no longer wrote for this site would they know how much I appreciated them?
That simple word means so much.
There are times I get so carried away with my writing
I fail to consider other matters
like do I thank my readers enough?
I am but a simple writer.
A man of pen and paper.
While I do not use ten-dollar words in my postings
let me always thank my readers enough.
My writing mantra has always been
to write for your own enjoyment.
That is the very best advice I have ever
received in my entire writing career.
Do I thank my readers enough?
Does the lack of impressive word usage harm my penmanship?
I often wonder about that.
What if I did?
Would it improve the qualities of my stories?
Would it change the nuances of my ramblings?
Now, as I ponder this poem, I am not sure.
What matters is that I thank my readers enough.
My readers have opened their hearts to a character
I created and write many stories about.
They can not seem to get enough of him or his zany antics.
For this, do I thank my readers enough?
I hope they know how much
I appreciate their comments, support and reviews
although, at times I may fail to thank my readers enough.
Most of the time I receive so many reviews
I stay days behind in trying to respond to them all.
Do I thank my readers enough?
With the limited time I have every day to be on FanStory
and most of the time that is but one hour a day,
do my readers feel like I do not always reciprocate in kind?
At the moment, I wonder.
Do I thank my readers enough?
I often ask myself that question.
So, this Freestyle is for them
to let them know how much they mean to me
and, to once again try to thank my readers enough.
It's such a small gesture,
but, I have no other way to tell my readers what I want to say,
and that is may I always thank my readers enough!
You know who you are and I thank you!
