Only you can decide   Recognized Author Notes To get technical, the Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines poetry as: 1. a: metrical writing : verse b: the productions of a poet : poems 2. writing that formulates a concentrated imaginative awareness of experience in language chosen and arranged to create a specific emotional response through meaning, sound, and rhythm 3. a: something likened to poetry especially in beauty of expression b: poetic quality or aspect The Sapphonic Triad. This form is an invention of our own Cliverde (Carol) and named by Pantygynt (Jim). The form is as follows: A two-line quotation (Free verse but max total of sixteen syllables - must be concise and memorable) followed by a quatrain, four lines each of four syllables finally an 8-4-6 syllable envoi that moves us on somewhere...it should have a "satori" feeling. You can or may not use rhyme.
