The mind demands a poem
From out of the Grayness
:
The Hum
by His Grayness

First, there is the Hum
Announcing the pregnancy
Preparing the midwife of words
For the birth
The genders of thought and passion
Alas have mated
The Conception is done
Now as an unexpected
Midnight mailman
Or the urgent crying of a child
The impatient tapping
Of the Conductor's Baton
Demands response to the call
For word music
The hum lays the meter
The heart pumps
Fresh mind juice
The fingers twitch
The delivery begins
Muscles of intention
Urge out waves of vision
Love cells paint with words
Ink blood oozes
Etchings of curious
Considerations upon
The soft thought sheet
Rising to life
Crying at the pain
Of the newly injected soul
The scribbled gift
Is gently laid
Into the hands
Of humanity
With pride
And hope
Fear and Will
And always
From the poet
Fair or ugly
Some form
Of Love

Author Notes
Oh, how the birth of thought captures the poet!
