Exceptional Friendship Has To Change When One Life Changes by LoannaLois Drabble Flash Fiction contest entry

Our husbands died within months of each other. A year later, her daughter was killed. Three months later, my grandson died. We were each other's confidant and shoulder to cry on. We started a group called "Whole Again" helping others deal with the pain of loss. Our friendship was a bond that saved me. Now, she has found new happiness. She has a new beau. They are making wonderful and deserved plans for the future. I am so happy for her. She is moving on and life will be changing for her soon. But so will mine. Recognized Author Notes Yes, She will be moving soon and this has been a challenge. I am grateful for the friendship we have had for years, and I will keep in touch with her, always.
