As we see our selves in the mirror
Reflection of Life's Face

Reflected image
This face has changed
Lines of repercussions
Wrinkles of laughter
This face has aged
Acceptance
Eyes dilate
A Hand grasps a brush
Each stylish pass, delivered
Hairs fall in the sink
This reflection bare's witness
Of turmoil
And true bliss
United in one image
Which the mirror never missed

Writing Prompt |
Write a poem concerning you, or someone, and a mirror. Make it humerous or serious; make it structured or free verse, but keep it brief. Use the mirror as a metaphor in anyway you desire. |
Author Notes
We never see our faces except from reflections. Sometimes we get not what we expect!
