He had a list and dreams for his life
places to visit, kids and a wife.
Driving to Vegas on a Harley bike,
a Kenyan safari with his buddy Mike.
The world was wide open for him to explore,
one day he crossed out dream number four.
A trip to alaska, his ticket was booked,
fresh water salmon, about to be hooked.
His last night in town, down by the lake
family, friends, booze and a cake.
Too many drinks, he knew it was wrong,
but got in his car, it didn't take long,
he swerved off the road, out of control,
killed a young couple, out for a stroll.
No ink in his passport, but on fingertips,
he sits in a cell, ripping bucket list strips.
