Before we go our wish would be,
all peoples of this world set free.
All peoples here, all peoples there,
forever breathing freedom's air-

That evil war was not for fame
but, sought to stay the Nazi's claim.
With steadfast England at our side,
we stopped their grab and stemmed the tide.
From Pearl to Iwo steady, slow,
we fought our way toward Tokyo
and with those two atomic blasts,
this tragic war would end, at last
Hope is eternal, fate may bring
some promise with the Arab spring.
Then we may hope and we may pray,
tomorrow is that blessed day.
Before we go, our hope would be,
a world that lives in harmony
and free of past and future stains,
a world where peace and joy reigns-
