and this lousy affliction
also affects me!
A.D.D, social, cognitive delays
bring to me the "trouble makers"
they always seem to make my day.
First to arrive, sweet Ellie mighty as a bear
each day announcing...
"You could spend more time on your hair!"
Then in a huff, my Ella throws down her religion book
I feel like I'm going to faint...
Sweet child boldly imparting
"I have NO intention on being a Saint!"
Calmly I plead
Dear Lord help me...
what will it take to get them to read?
Prefix, suffix, word endings and diphthongs
is it possible..
Can I turn these into a COOL song?
We head to the table
and build our sight word cup tower...
Little Jon has to pee ten times this hour!
The lesson's continue with much debate

I holler to Kaden now under my desk
"I'll give you a cookie,"
if you finish this test!
Exhausted and worn out at the end of each day
I hope I'm making a difference...
