Naked and deep in my secret chamber
Trying not to wake from my peaceful slumber
I may be called a solitary stranger
I may be confined but not in danger
Every day, I felt safe with love to keep warm
Sleeping, eating, kicking was my daily norm
Truth be told, my life began at conception
And sometimes I kicked to get some attention
My toes or my thumb? I need a magnifier!!!
When I am bored, they become my pacifier
When I pass gas, it sounds like thunder
Scare me and wakes me up from my slumber
Why I am here, I can’t quite remember
I guess it happened on a cold day in December
The force of nature is coming my way
Will my fears about the world fade away?
I’m getting bigger, and my days are numbered
And the truth about me has been uncovered
Nature says my nine-month lease was up
And it tells me Its time for me to drop
I wanted more time, but time was not on my side;
My walls are closing in, and I can no longer hide
Moments of joy at the first look of my head
I cried because I’m out in a world I dread
Maybe nature knew I felt like being kicked out
Maybe; it knew I had a good reason to pout
Maybe; it gave me something to cry about
Yes, I loved my life in a chamber.
