When we feel our spirit is poor
God wants to give us more
His kingdom, He will bless.
When in life we find we mourn
God says He will comfort us
With the comfort He gives.
When we chose to be meek
He has promised to give us
The earth as our inheritance.
As we hunger and thirst for
righteousness God promises
He'll fill us and quench our thirst.
As we show mercy to the weak
God in His loving kindness
Will show mercy to us as well.
When we allow God to work
And make our hearts pure
He promises that we'll see God.
In this world of evil if we will
Become the peacemakers
We'll be called God's children.
When we are persecuted
For the sake of what's right
The Kingdom of God will be ours.
When men revile and persecute us
We should rejoice and be glad
Our reward in Heaven will be great.
