Trees discard their summer's clothing
Joy revealed, and not God's loathing,
In brilliant colours raiments shed,
Array this earth with splendour's spread.
These wondrous colours, nature's hues
Declare life's death reveal God's news,
And in this glory, nature's rest,
This winter's cold restores earth's best.
For in this death, renewal gives
that seed that died, come springtime, lives,
And when you see that sapling grow,
You know once more new life's on show.
So when you feel the breath of spring,
New life in glory will it bring,
And if you look you'll understand,
In Christ is life, through death, love's hand.

Author Notes
John 12:24 "Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed, but if it dies, it produces many seeds." NIV
(Jesus was talking of His own death and resurrection, and, subsequenctly, leading many sons to glory, were those who believe in that sacrifice. Spoken in Hebrews 2:10-18.
1 Corinthians 15:35-38 "But someone will say, "How are the dead raised? And with what kind of body will they come? How foolish! That which you sow does not come to life unless it dies. When you sow, you do not plant that will be, but as a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else, But God gives it a body as He has determined, and to each kind of seed He gives it its own body."
