Someone Your Own Size by JPilcher
Jr High or High School bullying contest entry

Time flies so fast hard to keep track,
Hard to believe three years have passed.
Even harder as I think back,
To when my daughter was harassed.

Only thirteen still a baby to me,
I have never been so mad in my life.
And to think they tried to hide it from me,
I declared war more than ready for strife.

They would call when she was tardy,
Felt free to bitch about my kid.
Then told me that they were sorry,
For everything that they had hid.

When she was being pushed into lockers,
Or when she was shoved up against a wall.
An apology was all they offered,
For choosing then to be when not to call.

Rocks were thrown at her at school,
And almost everybody knew.
They mistook me for a fool,
They had no clue what I could do.

That Math Teacher she was first on my list,
She would never mock anyone again.
That Principal got me beyond just pissed,
They knew I would strike the question was when.

So I taught them both a lesson,
The school counselor got one too.
They all more than got the message,
By the time that I was through.

That lesson is one everyone should know,
And to learn it this way that would be wise.
People like me won't let certain things go -
Bully someone make sure you're the same size.
