Author Notes
Historically, America's first fair started back in 1765, in York, it once was called a town, now we call it York city which is located in the state of Pennsylvania. This September we celebrated the 250th year.
Also, public parks or grounds were called commons.
In 2020 the York Fair will be called York State Fair and will be held in July for now on. 7/25/19.
