cardinal's contrast against winter's arctic storm gives hope for springtime Recognized Author Notes During the past few months we have had unexpected artic storms hit home. Since the roads were basically closed I stayed home and was able take in nature with my camera. I spotted this beautiful Cardinal in our front yard and knew spring is not far off. His bright red contrast with the stark white snow and grey sky.
